Picture this..........NO CAMERAS! Where we would be today if we didn't have cameras. If we didn't have still pictures we probably wouldn't have motion pictures, either. There would be a huge market for artists and sketch artists. Imagine each family hiring an artist to go on vacation with them. Don't forget pictures play a big role in marketing for companies, large or small. What about magazines such as National Geographic which relies heavily on the camera. Just think how many crimes have been solved using pictures. I could go on and on. I don't know what I would do without my camera. I love taking pictures of my family, friends and pets. Pictures are a record of your life, they preserve time. It's nice to know the camera has been around for a long time and is here to stay. Cameras have come a long way. We have cameras that use film and ones that use a little memory chip. You can now print your own pictures, put them on a disk, send them from your computer to anybody your want. Did you ever think you could take a picture with your phone? Isn't digital technology great? If your picture doesn't turn out, you delete it and take it over. No film is wasted. That's the beauty of digital cameras. Some digital cameras take still pictures as well as motion pictures. Let's talk about size, they are small, thin and weigh practically nothing. They fit in any pocket or purse. They come in so many different price ranges, there is one for every budget. Picture taking has become so easy, my dog can do it. Remember the cliche', "a picture is worth a thousand words". So, everybody arm yourself with a camera, point and shoot then print or send.
